Cosmetic dental fillings are an alternative to the silver fillings that are often used to repair teeth. Silver fillings are unaesthetic and because of this many people do not like the look of silver in their teeth. Alternatives include fillings made from porcelain, ionomers, and composite resins coloured to match the enamel of a person’s natural teeth. Cosmetic dental fillings are not noticeable when a person smiles.
